Charter Funding acknowledges and respects your privacy and we want you to understand our policies regarding the handling of information. "Information " means nonpublic, personal financial information.
Charter Funding collects, retains, and utilizes consumer information for the purpose of administering its business, providing customer service and products. Much of the information we collect, such as account balances, credit information, payment history, and social security numbers is nonpublic personal information. When you end your customer relationship with us, or when we end our customer relationship with you, we will treat the information we have about you as if you were still our customer.
Charter Funding does not share, exchange or reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable information to unaffiliated third parties unless the third party is essential in administering business and as outlined in the following exceptions:
- You authorize or request it.
- The information is provided to facilitate completion of a transaction initiated by you.
- The information is required for legitimate business use in accordance with standard business practices. This includes information provided to attorneys, collection agencies, and credit reporting agencies for the purposes of collecting debt, verifying a customer's existence, and verifying a customer's account(s) conditions.
- To make available product or services offered by a third party who is under contract to provide these services.
